This was actually our second trip to Morro Bay.  We first spent a long weekend at Morro State  Beach Park in the Spring when Pat did the Wildflower Triathlon in King City.  We went kayaking in the Bay to the dunes and discovered ate at a cute little beach cafe right at the Marina (Marina Cafe).  Nancy, Melinda and the kids came too. I just don't know if we did or did not take pictures, in any case there are none.

This time around it was in the summer and we camped right by the beach in Morro Strand.  The drive is quite pleasant and you pass through some of the Central Coast wineries as you reach Cambria in Hwy 1.  Morro Bay is a few miles south of Cambria.
