We loved this campsite so much that we came back this year. We think it may be our favorite even if it takes 3 hours to get there on long windy Highway 1. This part of Higfhway 1 has one of the sharpest hairpins.  Luckily Lilly outgrew her carsickness.

 

 

The most memorable thing for me is having the kayaks at our disposal everyday.  I would go out on the river alone when everyone was still sleeping and just slowly glide along the quiet river listening to the birds, the ripple of the water and soak up the mist.  I experienced such peace and oneness with nature.
