Since dogs are not allowed on the trails, we decided to walk down the creek.  It was mostly dry, but since it went down a fairly large and sometimes steep hill it was a bit of a challenge.  The pups were real troopers climbing on large boulders and falling into pools.

 

The other memorable thing during this Sugar Loaf trip is that Dash got about 6 ticks, which I thought we had under control until we found one deeply lodged in his skin about a week later.

 

And by the way, this is the place to stargaze.  Somehow it is located where light from anywhere is pretty well blocked out giving you the darkest skies and the brightest starts.
