Poros is the island closest to the Peloponnese in the mainland. The town is built on two rocky hills. As you enter the straight, you see the island town to the right then the mainland town to the left. Poros is characterized by lemon forests and olive groves, while Galata, the town you immediately see on the mainland is very lush and green.

We climbed up the narrow streets to the highest point in town where there was a church. , pictured below.
