SCHOOL YARD SAFARI

Overview: Every organism requires a place to live that satisfies the basic needs for food, water, shelter, and space. Such a place is called a habitat, We went on a safari to explore a nearby habitat; the school yard while looking for signs of animals living there.

At the schoolyard, we found many signs of animal life. There were gopher holes, spider webs and spiders, ants and assorted bugs, feathers and caterpillars by the creek. We have also seen a baby raccoon and deer before.
