Lucia on a beautiful Spring day on San Sebastian Avenue.

The Kids at

San Sebastian

Everything is status quo at 4650 San Sebastian. Lucia is enjoying her job at Sybex-getting a lot of kudos of late. I am healthy with the exception of that hormonal thing that happens when one reaches a certain maturity. Lucia and I are more than healthy (if you get my drift). We haven’t done a lot of leisure travel this year, except for an all-women’s cruise to the Western Caribbean and my birthday weekend. We did manage to go camping once.

Luther the cat died this year from hyper thyroid complications-he’s gone to kitty heaven and is buried with Max in our backyard. Patches still lives in the basement, she will be 18 years old, but she is preserved - Dorian Grey. Billy, the youngest still proudly brings us presents. Can’t wait for the gifts of poor decapitated newts this winter-what an animal! Luke fell ill, but is well now and is under medication for congestive heart failure. You wouldn’t know it, he’s as feisty as a puppy. Lucy is healthy but getting a bit senile-staring at the wall sometimes.

We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen-finally! We’ve replaced our old appliances with modernistic brushed stainless steel ones. A new lighting system called the "Solar Tube" illuminates the kitchen with natural full-spectrum lighting. We are getting our cabinets refaced with oak and finishing with new floors! You will have to come and visit to see it. Pending construction and all, we managed to continue the Holiday Cafe tradition with a Christmas Dinner and a New Year’s "Pork & Sauerkraut Good Luck Chow Down."

New this year is my volunteer work as a docent for third graders at Hamilton School. I am teaching them about our environment.

Haven’t much had time for my Multimedia Studies with new projects and travel-have had to postpone it for a semester.

Besides the ‘96 Newsletter I published to my web site in February and this current attempt, I haven’t done much to update this website all year. In any case, I hope you enjoy the new 1997 Photo Album.
